Last Saturday, Pat, Aaron and I went to SM Fairview to watch Big Hero 6. As we wait for Patrick to purchase our tickets, Aaron and I were looking at the Penguins of Madagascar poster when Aaron accidentally bumped into a poster announcement.
Good thing, he stumbled upon it, otherwise I wouldn’t know about the upcoming FREE Movie from SM and Walter Mart on December 6,2014. Just go to the online registration link here and fill up the registration form. It’s super easy to answer. Just type in your name and one companion’s name, your contact number and email address where they will send your pass. There are 3 time slot to choose from: 1pm, 4pm and 7pm. These are the movies to choose from: Panday, Grace of Monaco, Thunder and the House of Magic, T’yanak, Love Rosie, Dumb & Dumber 2, Bacao, Tumbang Preso, Dark Touch and Sigaw ng Hatinggabi.
Yeah, yeah, I know the movies are kind of so-so but still it’s still free movie, right? 🙂
Yehey! Thank you SM Cinema and Walter Mart Cinema for these treats.
Trying something new can sometimes be intimidating and scary at the same time. But the moment you had your first step and realized it’s not scary at all then the fun and enjoyment begin. Just don’t look much on the other players’ score board to lessen the embarrassment. Some might be born to play the game but me? OMGEEE! I sucked big time!. hahaha. Not even beginner’s luck could save me.
The only compensation that I have is that Aaron was enjoying the game. He had been playing bowling in the arcade but it was also his first time to play real bowling. I tried all sizes of ball but still no avail. Even Aaron’s score was higher than mine when we played together in the gutter-less lane.
Despite the embarrassment, playing bowling is really fun. After a few set, our group decided to play billiards since AMF also offers billiards to its customers.
Another thing that I like in AMF Bowling center is Magoo’s Pizza. I’ll always be a Magoo’s Fan. Yum! Yum! 🙂
So, if you want to try bowling and your within Ever Commonwealth’s vicinity. Try visiting AMF Bowling and Billiards. It’s in the lower ground floor of Ever Commonwealth, just beside Home Work. They require that you use bowling appropriate shoes, If you don’t have one, They have different sizes for rent at P50/pax. Don’t forget to bring your socks.
Are you looking for something fun to do with your kids this weekend? How about something educational as well? Then I suggest you go visit Museo Pambata.
It was my first time visiting Museo Pambata and honestly, I was surprised. hehe And Yes, despite the fact that I already googled and read blogs about it, I was still amazed at the interactive displays and info graphics inside the museum. Another plus is that the entrance fee is only P150/pax. Lucky you if your from Manila, just present a valid ID with your address and enjoy free passes during Tuesday. 50% discount on other days.
Museo Pambata is divided into 8 theme rooms but we only saw 6 : Kalikasan, Old Manila, Career Options,I love my Planet Earth, My Body Works and Pamilihang Bayan. We were not able to see the Global Village and Karapatan Hall because of an event during our visit.
Aaron likes the Body Works and Pamilihang Bayan the most. We spent most of our time here. He really enjoyed going through the small stores and the fire truck with matching costumes.
We were lucky enough that there was no big group tour scheduled during our visit. Aaron was able to play with all the available displays. We decided to leave when a bigger group of students came. We spent a few more minutes outside in the playground where the main attraction is the helicopter. We spent almost 2 hours inside the museum and another 15 minutes outside in the playground.
Definitely, an interesting museum not just for kids but for adults as well.

The Museo Pambata is at the former Elks Club Building on Roxas Boulevard corner South Drive, Manila.
How to get to Museo Pambata:
From EDSA, turn right on Roxas Boulevard then take a U-turn on T.M. Kalaw Street. From Quiapo, take Quezon Bridge going to Padre Burgos Street then turn left on Roxas Boulevard. Or you may take the LRT or a jeepney (A. Mabini route), get off on United Nations Avenue, and walk to Roxas Boulevard. Museo Pambata is right beside the U.S. Embassy.
Last Wednesday, after Aaron’s UN presentation in the morning, I had to go to work to facilitate some equipment pick up so I decided to bring Aaron with me and show him Manila Zoo.
Our site is only a few blocks away from Manila Zoo which is accessible via jeepney or pedicab. We took the latter and paid P30 for the trip.
After paying the entrance fee of P100 for me and P60 for Aaron, we immediately started our tour. Upon a few steps from the entrance you could immediately see Maali the Elephant on your right followed by the reptiles area. Just in front of the reptiles area, you can find the turtles and crocodiles.
Viewing the crocodiles can be quite tiring because you have to carry your child since the fence is a bit high and the cage is on the same ground level unlike in Avilon Zoo where your location is a bit higher. Hmmm, what else? Honestly, seeing Avilon Zoo first, it really saddened me to see the animals here. The cages are small and the animals look tired and thin.
Despite the overall zoo condition, Manila Zoo is still a nice place to bring your family to bond. The place may not be that big but what I like about it is that there are other activities to do inside such as paddle boat riding, horse back riding (P50/2 rounds), petting zoo and 2 small playground area for your kids.
Hi! It’s been a while since I last posted something in here. I’d been busy with a lot of things at work and some family matters this past few months. I’ll just start posting again in the next couple of days. (crossing fingers!!) ;-D
For starters, I’d like to share some of Aaron’s Linggo ng Wika Presentation photos at ELC. The school is located in Capitol Hills 1, Quezon City. Honestly, it was not our first choice but maybe it was a blessing in disguise that slots are already full at The Growing Tree, so I searched the net and checked forums for school recommendations near our place. And luckily, I stumbled upon ELC on a blog, and boy, we are really happy to be here. I’ll do separate review about his school soon.
The whole program only lasts about an hour. It started with a short parade, prayer, national anthem singing then their song and dance presentation,Aaron was part of the group who sang and danced to Pipit, Leron Leron Sinta and Bahay Kubo. Watching him, it was really mix emotions for me. I was smiling really wide and at the same time a little teary eyed. I was so proud seeing Aaron on stage, happily dancing and singing his part of the presentation. Emote emote lang ang peg pag me time. hehehe
Too bad we don’t have much photos since Pat and I are both taking videos.
